Hi, I'm Chef Jasmine Anderson Williams and I am the owner of 1101 Southern Kitchen based in Houston, TX. My cooking experience began when I was a teenager selling desserts during school holidays. My passion for food pushed me to pursue higher education, where I obtained a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Houston. After graduating, I followed my heart and quit my management job to complete culinary school.

I'm an experienced culinarian, having worked in a variety of positions throughout the hospitality industry including server, sous chef and general manager. My passion for Southern cuisine has been the driving force behind 1101 Southern Kitchen where I offer private cooking classes, catering services, and personal chef services.

Are You A Chef And Need Advice?

In 2020, the world was shocked with the presence of Covid 19, however I was not going to let this pandemic stop my growth. During this time, 1101 went from being a part time event & corporate catering company to a full service restaurant.

Unfortunately, a few issues out of our control caused the restaurant to close, but I moved into action and revamped the delivery of my delicious food.

Now that I am in the process of owning my own chef's kitchen, I know that other chef's need help with understanding the process of bring delicious food to their customer's plate.
